Checked out another cool venue for dinner... It's called 'That Little Gerai'.. What a cute name...
Also labelled as Gerai Western Jalanan Paling Sedap...
it was supposed to be paling sedap di Malaysia.. but i dare not say so... bukan apa, there may be another one that's better, so it's up to one's tastebuds to judge...
What we had :
LASAGNA MEAT & CHEESE with salad
The lasagna is filled with chunk of meat... The pasta is al dente... layered with adequately amount of bechamel sauce... and the cheese is massive... What i love are the salads.. It's really fresh n crispy...
BIG ASS BURGER with Gerkins & Onions
It brings the concept of 'open burger' . The specialty of this burger is the patty... It's home-made.. Really thick.. Made of real meat.. Weigh around 200 gram and not fat.. Pure meat.. Once u bite it, u'll get the 'meatish' sensation... The patty is grilled - not fried or pan fry.. But there are only beef patty, no chicken or anything else... Guess coz it's home-made - if ready made, semua pun ada... As for the cheese, i felt that it's similar to McD's cheese - not the normal slice cheese.. Sedappp...
MASHED POTATO with Black Pepper Sauce
One of the best we've ever tasted. It's made of actual potato - mashed! Could feel the chunk of potatoes.. Not like the normal instant mashed potato.. Which is pre-mixed and come in form of powder.. This is so real...

Initially, planned to have Fish & Chips or Grilled Fish... My favorite... As usual... But since there are lots of testimony on these items, we decided to check it out... and prove them right - really good one..

Similar to Bobby Burger - made our way via MRR2 -took the junction at Giant - straight ahead till u pass 2 bumps. U'll see Syed Bistro on your right hand side. Take the junction. Straight ahead till u see some shop houses lots on your right. It's located by the shop houses - blue awning..
Fyi, it's like within the vicinity of Bobby Burger.. In fact, we planned to drop by Bobby for take out but unfortunately Bob was like so busy with tons of waiting list ahead... Despite the fact i had bbm-ed him off hand.. Imagine how laku his burgers are.. Sorry lari topic.. hehhehe...

- the items being grilled are chicken chop and my burger patty...
All in all, the food are good, fresh n value for money. i suggest it's a must try venue should one happened to be in the area... Or else x perlu la nk datang jauh2 kot... Nt ada yang cukup 2 marhalah.. Opps!! hehhee.... My point is - it's quite a distance from Shah Alam and surrounding vicinity... But if one is in KL, it's worth a try...

ReplyDeleteAs far as "paling sedap in Malaysia", of coz its not something that we claimed to be. I think it came from a forum in CG. But what we're trying to do is to serve the best Western food at the most reasonable prices in a "gerai" situation.
The picture? Yep, thats me. I used to be the Head Chef at Shook, Starhill and also as a Consultant Chef at four different restaurants in Bangsar.
Lastly thanks again for coming at TLG and we hope to see u guys soon.
