Glimpse of Singapore Trip

hollaaa....

it's a quite a while since i last updated... This time, gonna share a glimpse of my Singapore trip...

Was there with my colleague, Fyza.. Work related matter... Besides that, my intention was to meet up with my luvely sista, Amalina Razali or fondly known as Lina Ratu Drama...

This entry is basically gonna a summarize and contains lotsa pic...

UPON ARRIVAL / FIRST DAY

Arrived via Air Asia at approximately 1pm... Had a lil pose at the airport, took our luggage n grabbed a cab straight to our hotel - Park Royal, Beach Road... Nama jer beach road, apparently it is located in the middle of the town... According to the cabby driver, it used to by the beach as it a reclaimed land...

After checking in and embarked our luggage, we settled down for a while and had a lil walk to Arab Street to get lunch and sim card...

Lina asked me to get this one of Star Hub

Then Lina came over to the Hotel... Missed her so much... Gosh! she was so determined and walked all the way from Bugis MRT station up to the hotel - when actually she wasn't sure where the location was... Cian dia.. Dah la after class... Btw, cute specs :)

Wedding Dinner at Hj Sharin Low Grand

It was my cousin, Azlina's  wedding.. She is married to Farhan - a half Chinese guy. As for Farhan's side, they had 2 ceremonies. The main reception was held traditionally at Singgahsana Hotel, PJ (malay concept reception) while the other one is more to a dinner for selected close friends and family . Felt honored we were invited.. The theme was authentic Chinese wedding dinner, yet Islamic..

It took place at Farhan's Dad's Restaurant, Hj Sharin Low Grand which is located at Wisma Chinese Chambers, Jalan Ampang...
Got a cute chopstick as doorgift - inserted to a brocade material cover... Somehow reminds me to Megat la...
when Amy meets Amy - here comes the double trouble when both are in Chongsam :)

Encountered prominent individuals, whom we highly respect :
Ustaz Dr. Ridhuan Tee Abdullah...
With Dr Halim - he was one of Gaza the hostages
- he owns Poliklinik Al- Hikmah, at Worldwide, Sec 7 Shah Alam... Do check it out...

Okie... Here comes the 9 course Chinese dinner....

Four Season Starter
- loved the prawn, baby octopus and the crusted one...

the most awaited - Crab Meat Shark's Fin soup
- sharks fin always made me feel good... best taken with vinegar n cili padi...

the part-time waiter - whom help u clear the whole bowl... lol

Chicken ala Thai

Steamed Garoupa
- the flesh were so lembut and flaky.. it does not get smashed easily as Siakap does...

Salted Egg Prawn
- sedappp... lemak but not too masin...

Mushroom Tofu Special with small White Cabbage

- loved the Tofu most

Chinese fried Rice with Anchovies
- most of the guest were too full to consume..

Chinese Pancake with Mini Pau
- the pancake is so crispy and the pau is damn fluffy...
Geram with the tables yang x habis as we didn't have enuff...

Ginseng Sea Coconut
- no doubt that the Ginseng does not taste so good, but the tasty sea coconut makes it balanced.. finished all the Ginseng as we knew that it cost a fortune..

Traditional Tea Session with parents

Yaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Seng!!!

the bride's brother - Joe n his lovely better half - Amy

Assalamualaikum - the DO's & DON'Ts

Got this from our dearest Edil (thanx a million for sharing and realized our mistakes)... and decided to share :

Sekadar berkongsi ilmu...insyaAllah...

SIAPA YANG MENGGUNAKAN PERKATAAN "SALAM"? apakah maksud disebaliknya??

(QS. 43:89)

>baik gunakan ASSALAMUALAIKUM or
ASSALAMUALAIKUMWARAHMATULLAHIWABARAKATUH...

Ilmu utk dikongsi bersama.

Pagi semalam saya dengar radio ikim (91.50 fm). Ustaz Zawawi ada cerita tentang sunnah Rasulallah s.a.w.

Jawab salam yang betul ialah ;

“WAALAI KUMUS SALAM” dan bukannya yang selalu saya dengar iaitu ;
“WAALAI KUM SALAM”

Friday Nite @ TGI Friday's

It was a great nite out with Ray & Megat... It was supposed to be a date with Wawa but unfortunately our guest of hounour couldnt make it... Since the date already been planned, we proceeded (statement to make Wawa jealous... lol). Ray texted and said they were at TGIF - and i was like duhhh... m not properly dressed.. at this tyme og the month??

It was sucha horrendous traffic all the way to Curve that made me cursed all the way... Feeling so stressed up, luckily the unplanned encounter with Gadaffi somehow cheered me up *wink* Had a lil chat at the corners of our tables, Dafi sempat meke remark on Megat's definition of dietary... lols...

Sesi 'tokak' Ayam

Had dinner at IKEA Restaurant... Saw this attractive of a whole Spring Chicken (ayam muda) for only RM 13 sumthg plus plus with fries.. Eventhough it's only spring chicken, we bet it's gonna be really filling and economical. Since we hardly have spring chicken, why not give a shot...

Started the cutting process, divided half each and ate our heart out.

True enough... The spring chicken is really soft, tender and tasty... The gravy complimented it... The only prob was that the fries absorbed the gravy too well... By then there were too little gravy left for the whole lot amount of chicken. What we did was, we segregated the fried elsewhere and asked for extra gravy from the counter... Baru sedap makan...

Fruitful Nite Out

It was quite a fruitful nite out when i managed to get a Glee notebook from Azim... It was actually for a lil competition we initiate to encourage the members to come early n be on time... As far as hang out session is concerned, everyone lovedddd to be LATE... So sapa cepat, akan dapat hadiah... This actually goes to Adam, but Adam being so baik, i grabbed it from him.. hehheheh...

Azim gave a 2011 diary / planner... Which i have looked for quite sometimes... In and out of bookstores, but still x jumpa a suitable one... This particular number is from Sirim... I love this type as it has a lot of lines whereby i can scribble all my stuff, client's requirements, notes, etc yet incorporated with a planner. Cool sangat la Azim... My colleague envied, not because of the thingy as a whole, but it carries the name SIRIM...

Life

HIDUP UMPAMA RODA !!!

He was once my lecturer... worked in a 5 star hotel... doing well... and successful...

Life's an obstacle... went through tough times... and survived...

Met him recently at a flee market... looked so different i didn't recognized...

Seek my favor for a job vacancy... Gonna do my best... Talk to HR and hope there's a position that suits his qualification and capability...

That's the least that could do - for someone whom once taught me F&B (when i had no idea at all)...

May the force be with you, Sir!!!
