Laily's Cuppies

I was introduced to Laily by a dear friend of mine, Maizan... Not a personal invitation, but via her baking products, precisely... lol... Maizan has always been getting me her brownies and cheese brownies and it's all marvelous...

Recently, there was wedding held at my work place and we decided to order a box as a gift for the newly wedded couple...

We ordered cupcakes which brings the concept of hantaran... What i love about this set of cuppies is it feature the lil 'bantal hantaran' and the so called hantaran on top of the bantal... comeyyyyyy..... just to share some pic of it...

the 'cake'

the 'fruits'

the 'accessories'

the 'flowers'

this is what i loved the most... the 'handbag'...

Besides that, we also ordered a box for the pengantin's Mum as an appreciation for her support and for being such a lovely organizer...

Another lovely set of cuppies...

Besides cupcakes, there are other product of Laily's Pâtisserie that i've tasted and it definitely melted my taste buds away...

Oreo Cookies & Cream Cheesecake..

Brownies...

Chocolate cake...
sangat moist...
yummy yummy...

30 magical hours

repost from
family's blog with a lil editing...

PAGI!!!!!

Actually been wanting to post dis for sometimes... But due 2 the chaos, controversial issue and time factor... i had second... third n got fickled about it... but the urge or sharing is strong and decided to share... not that i'm gonna say much about the training nor the moduls whatsoever... just to share some pics while we were there jer...

Got this offer from Koperasi Serbaguna Anak-anak Selangor (KOSAS) for it's members and spouses. Since i've been wanting to go for ages, I grabbed it... Furthurmore was offered a really good fee that is way too far from the published rate.. My luck i guess..

What made this training special was.. besides attending it with darlink hubby, it was also attended by several of my beloved cousins... Aya & bro, Eila, K Hanim & Agus... Plus some other relatives and aunts... There were only around 80 person of the whole training.... Fyi, it was a in house training.. So dat's y it's limited...

with Kak Hanim, Raia & Eila melaram depan bunting...

with beloved uncle DZB...

Sesi fotografi bersama Trainer kami, Bapak Andi Mohamad Fajar...
Dia adalah superbbbbb...

hey there.. this is Mr. Zero...
dia adalah macam icon/maskot ESQ...
which signify that u have 2 free yr mind with zero -ve thinking while attending this course...

Cobaaaan...
Kebetulan pada hari pertama training kami, kecoh satu Malaya mengatakan tentang ESQ... Ini semua berikutan kenyataan Mufti WP... Haram la, memesongkan akidah la, n whatsoever.. But despite the chaos, Alhamdulillah the training went well... In fact kami dapat banyak sangat benefits melaluinya...

Sesi temuramah DZB berikutan isu ESQ...

Ini pula merupakan sesi ketika bermain games... Actually xleh amek pic, tapi saya dan K Hanim agak tegar... At first ingat boleh amek still foto, bila dah kena tegur, so simpan terus la camera... Kena patuh pd peraturan kan...

Cuzzies

My 2 idols :)

Upon completion...
We're now officially Alumni...
Alhamdulillah....

All in all, ESQ merupakan sesuatu yang sangat indah... Kesannya sangat mendalam... Syukur dapat pergi... M so glad dapat pergi dengan hubby and sebahagian warga AB. Bila balik, rasanya sangat lain... We kinda see thing in a different kind of perspective... Terpulang lah apa orang nak kata about it, but 2 us, it gave a tremendous impact... Insyaallah...

~Thank you ALLAH~

Not Worth Paying...

Had dinner at Gulam Mee of Kota Damansara or Damansara wherever (got such place meh??)...

This rest. was introduced by my beloved cuz cum besty.. She kinda calls it restaurant macam-macam ada... Memang pun.. Just look at the spread... Ada fried mee /kway teow, soup, chicken rice, ikan bakar, satay and lots more which i x recall off...

We decided to settle on the soup... There are gearbox, chicken, mutton, etc.. But i choose sup urat... No doubt the portion of the urat is aplenty but the soup is rather sweet... X quite suitable with my taste-bud... To eliminate the sweet taste, i added sambal kicap hoping that the pedas-ness will neutralize things off.. Apparently, it became sweeter..

This is supposed to be the killer item / signature dish of this place... We ordered Mee Goreng extra pedas... As for presentation wise, mmg gempak and good enough to drool people... Bila makan, alamak!!! manis la jugak... then me dah start to feel somekinda pissed off... Kata killer item, but not good enough to 'kill'... Not hot enough though as per our request... Texture ok la.. But a bit too soggy...

Asked hubbs how's the satay? Bolehhh la.... The chicken is agak tough n keras... The meat lagi liat... No further comment...

Then hubbs decided to have nasi lemak bungkus as it looked rather tempting... X puas makan agaknya coz semua pun kureng... The size is slightly the same with Kg. Baru's... Harga? Almost double - RM1.20 each ya... Rasa not bad la... The rice macam ada flavour2 sikit... At least this is the only item yang taste good here...

When it comes to paying, i was a bit shocked that we paid almost 20 bucks for all that (excluding nasi lemak & satay)... Bak kata Indonesian- Lumayan....

RM9 for soup? I think this is way 2 much... The good one in Bdr Baru Bangi is RM 7 - agak mahal but still ok coz it's sedap... But this is more and x sedap... No doubt that the portion is more...

Not that we are being calculative when it comes to food but certain things are not worth paying for...

Looking at the positive side, maybe it's the day their cook salah letak ramuan kot... Probably other days it taste better... Or we salah select menu... Or simply not our day...

Whatever it is... Syukur dengan rezeki Allah... Despite the dissatisfaction, we went home with our tummies full... Alhamdulillah....

It's been 4 years

22nd July 2010 marks 4 years since Abah left us in 2006...

Time flies fast... Only Allah knows how much i misses him and how i envy seeing people with dads (i know m not 2 feel dat way)...

But i try 2 see things from a different perspective... Everytime I misses him, I owez remember what my ESQ trainer, Bapak Andi Mohamad Fajar said about it... It will then make me stronger & lebih redha...

Sesungguhnya semua adalah dari ALLAH... Semoga ALLAH mencucuri rahmat ke atas roh Abah & ditempatkan dikalangan orang-orang yang beriman...

Al-Fatihah...

note :
My condolence to a dear friend of mine, Ray Eusouff for lost of his brother in law... Apparently it's only a few days away from the date my dad went away.. different year of course... hope your sis hang in there and stay strong...

Wonderful Service of Ijan Burger & Teatime of Warisan

Yeaayyyyyyyy..... Ijan burger lagiiii.....

Untuk kesekian kalinya... Me (pinjam word meggs) makan at the wonderful & succulent Ijan Burger of Paroi.... But this time is agak special.... It's bcoz of the service...

As usual, i will eat in and have some take outs... Not some, but several... As a customer, i am being 'banyak cekadak'... Well there's a reason behind it... Of coz la, some people will always come out with reasons.. kannn.. Oooopps!!! Ya ampuunnsss....

Back to Ijan Burger, for take outs, i always request for sayur asing... and xmo sos... The reason behind it is simply coz i don't want it to be soggy by the tyme i reach home. Furthermore, my family will normally eat it the day after...

Preheat in microwave, n still sedap.... If burger laen??? Dunno...

I was attended by the owner, Mrs. Ijan... (as in, wife En. Ijan) What amazed me was Mrs. Ijan actually went to the extend of buying a container from the sundry shop nextdoor to fill in the sauce and mayonnaise... Gosh!! What a wonderful service... And the veges are segregated accordingly...

Furthurmore, I was there with VVIP of the her dotter's pre-school, Rumah Si Kecil... lol...

As for my dine-in version, it's chicken special without bread... So they served it in sucha way, it was neatly presented on the plate... Ala2 ala western cuisine gitew.... And they served it with fork & knife... Kelllasss kannnn.....

Just to share other version of burgers that was served on our table :

Capek's - Daging special...
He ate the top bread when this pic was taken...

Megat's Bunny Burger...
Arnab is somehow a no no for me...

But i sinfully had a bite....
uwaaaaa....

All in all, Ijan Burger doesn't just serve good burger but thay can tailor made one's order and the provide good service... I lurrrveeeee Ijan Burger.... If only la ada branch in KL or Alam Shah Bana....

Before stepping at Ijan Burger, we were from RestaurAnt Warisan (not restorEn yea :) of Kuala Pilah... This was our second time there... Click here for my previous post on Rest. Warisan.

This time, we had afternoon teabreak... An authentic one...

Lempeng Kelapa with Kuah Lemak & Sambal...
Besides that, we also tried Lempeng pisang...

Banana fritters...
It may be common but the best part is it's served with sambal kicap....

With Lyana Dee...
Loved her hair, it's high colour yet so healthy n soft...

Pleasure meeting u, Dee :)

Dinner after ESQ

Despite all the chaos and the hot issues, we're undergoing an ESQ session now... Coincidentally during the day we attended, the news came out front page... Not gonna say much about it... Far from being 'drifted apart', alhamdulillah, i felt that i 'see' more things i never did before... It may not be apparent... But i felt it inside....

The session is held at Tabung Haji, Kelana Jaya... Before going home, we decided to have dinner first... Wanted to go FAM, apparently it was closed... Near Giant pun, nothing interesting... Then we pusing-pusing and saw Restaurant Jaya at SS5, Kelana Jaya - near 7 eleven...

The concept is kinda similar to FAM, hawker's stall plus tomyam and stuff... Amongst the stalls, i was attracted to the Char Kway Teow and Tauhu Bakar... Definitely we ordered those....

Besides tauhu bakar, they also have rojak buah, sotong kangkung and kerang rebus. The sotong kangkung and rojak buah looks good tho...

Guess this is one of the best Tauhu Bakar i've ever tasted...
Crispy outside and the filling is like banyak & yummy...
Only RM2.50..

As i'm not the kinda person yang fancy soggy char kway teow, this is really good...
The kerang is aplenty plus large prawns...

The satay is not bad either...

Insya, will check this place out again 2morow and gonna try the sotong kangkung and somehing western... Chicken chop probably....

Additional info : the orange juice is not bad either... Not too caer...
