Fridge Magnets lagiiii.....

Hollaaaa... It's been sometimes since my last update... Been up 2 lotsa stuff n didn't get a chance to even peek at my own blog... Hence, I've lots 2 incorporate... It's the matter of going to or vice versa... LOL...

But 1st thing's 1st... It's fridge magnets... Againnnnnn.... I have 2 incorporate this first as a way of me thanking all my friends whom are being really thoughtful and generous... Appreciate it...

These are from Mamu Aziz... He was away for a tour with his beloved wife, Kak Mar and brought back several fridge magnets. When hubs got home, he handed me a bag of Satay...But i grabbed the FM 1st :) and started screaming... malam2 buta...

Our day out at Luk Yu @ The Jackie Chan Restaurant

It was Ray's birthday... Coincidentally I was on leave and we decided to have a day out and kinda celebrate the day... So we checked out Marriot's 3.6 promotion again... Gosh! It was so peaceful to be there on weekday... Parking pun like so near the lift... Despite the rate yg agak berdentum... lol...

Since they've already tried Fisherman's Cove n Shook!, we decided to go for Chinese then... There we are... Dining at Luk Yu Tea House aka The Jackie Chan Restaurant... Fyi, it's the favorite restaurant of Adibah Noor (according to one Marriot's staff, Mr. Rajan)...

Furthermore, I lurveeee Chinese....

These are amongst the meal that we had :

Chicken Bundle with Four Varieties & Bencurd Skin Roll with Oyster Sauce
- well, dim sum has never failed to please me... esp. the freshly made type...

Deep fried Prawn with Salad
- mana salad nya? But the dip is really creamy n yummy... As the prawns underneath those skin are crunchy n juicy...

The best thing about Luk Yu is the Dim Sum... Well, mana nak dapat dim sum for only RM 3.60 rite... Yang penting, it's fresh n not the instant type...

This is Stir fried Prawn Har Mee... Qouted from a prawn mee TV adv, memang betul 'Ho Liaw'.... Guess the look says it all... The gravy was so 'prawnish'... Since it's a promo item, it sorta xde SOP (standard operating procedure)... The first time I came it was served in a deep plate, but that time it was served in a bowl plaks... Regardless the texture n serving style, the taste maintains...

Obviously very knows that this is Fried Kway Teow... Just love this type, whereby it's dry and not soggy... Was supposed to be with beef but i requested to chance... They offered chicken instead... Contains lotsa eggs n beansprouts... Just the way i like it...

Then, we had Chilled Cream of Fresh Mango with Sagoo & Pomelo for dessert.. It was so creamy and cooling...

Beside the items mentioned above, we also had Wantan Noodle, Sang Mee and Chinese Jasmine Tea... The beauty of the Chinese tea was.. it's RM3.60 for a pot... Refill la as much a u wanted. But what do u expect from a promo item... Definitely it was a bit mild compared to a normal one...

Then we went for a movie and checked out Shrek 4- forever after... Sangat best.... Puss was like so gemuk, he had difficulties fitting his boots n belt... Cian dia... Fiona pampered him too much.... But he was so cuteeeeeeeeeee.... Esp when he did the eye expression...

All in all, it was a fun day out... Sggt2 fun, esp on that wonderful day..
Guess once in a while, it's good to get away on a weekday :)

A lil Get Together with Mas & Elly

After hubs had his little reunion with his ex-classmates, I had i mine, too... It wasn't so much of a reunion tho... It was more of getting these 2 girls together...

Mastura Abdul Ghani and Linawati Ismail (fondly known as Elly amongst classmates) were classmates way back in UiTM Dungun pursuing Diploma In Hotel Management... Then they further studied in Shah Alam. That was how I got to know them...

Mas is now at Hotel UiTM Penang and Elly is at Tourism Malaysia... Penolong Pengarah uols... Soon 2 be Timbalan Pengarah n will head 2 Pengarah... Wah! This is a doa ok...

Since Mas was in Shah Alam, I decided a rendezvous for the 3 of us... Despite the time constrain, i made a point that we have to meet up gak... Or else entah bila la nak jumpa... Raya? Aiyooo... That's way 2 longgggg... Poser pun belum....

Then we met at INTEKMA as Mas was staying there... We drove to section 7 and had Mo'men... (Pronounced as Mok-min... I guess)... It was a kind of Middle East type of fast food... Not too bad as it is something new... Comparing it with Western fast food may be a bit unfair as comparing oranges with apples...

I had Super Spicy Chicken (pic below), Elly had Chicken Fajitas and Mas had only potato salad...

It was a fun time out with them. Hope we'll meet Mas again soon as she is way up North... Not to worried about Elly as she is now married to my cousin, Azhan... fyi... Despite the fact that she is now my cuz, i still address her as Elly as the way i always did... Not Leen, not Kak Lina whatsoever... It'll sounds bizarre.. Hence, she still address my parents as Uncle (while Dad was still around) and Auntie, instead of Paman and Mak Yah... Lol....

To Mas, all the best in yr PTK thingy and hopefully lepas ni ada yang promoted... Wah! Murah rezeki... Take care of yrself and the baby that u are carrying... Hope this time is a boy lak.. So Marsya ada geng... Regards to Joe and hugs n kisses to Marsya Aleia yang chumells mcm Mummy dia... Mwahhhsx...

We (Me n Hubs) were feeling on the top of the world the moment they tied the not... Now they lived happily ever after (wah! mcm Shrek la plak..lol) and ehem ehem.. they are doing way much better than we are...

Motif? Since we've already got the experience of being a so called 'match-maker' for a few couples (both dah anak 2, fyi), we're planning on doing it again... to whom it may concerned, hope u got the justification on why i acted 'mengalahkan Makcik Esah kampung sebelah'... lalallalallalalla..... Enuff said....

Mini Reunion of DTT

Hubby had this little reunion with few of his classmates of Diploma In Textile Technology, Faculty of Applied Science, UiTM...

Initially, they wanted to have it in KL, then Shah Alam. At first, ingat nak meet up at Hailam Kopitiam, a new one in sec 7... Then macam x ramai turn up, so they just met at McD sec 3...

The one in the pink tudung is Halawiah... A teacher from Kuala Terengganu... Still single and available... Oops! Available ker? :) Btw, thanx for the keropok, dodol, n sos... Sedap keropok 2...


The one in black is Naziera... A mother of 3 boys and an adorable lil gal... Came all the way from Senawang to meet her friends up... Gosh! I like her style... U rawck gal... She's sangat meriah n happening... Seswai la dgn diriku ini yang x reti nak diam :) The best part was when she chase her kids away from our table... So she can spent time with her friends, peacefully... Chumell kn...

This is Iszalia aka Lea... According to Sham, dia ni Perempuan Melayu Terakhir... lol... Apparently, she is one... N he's so sweet... Came all the way from Tanjung Karang with her gal... Cian dia.. Air tumpah... Sebaik x kena baju...

Ray's Birthday Surprise :)

Ray's birthday was approaching and we planned a surprise lil celebration 4 him...

The VIDs were supposed to have a monthly meeting... This time it took place at International Youth Centre, Bandar Tun Razak... Since it was only 2 days before his birthday... I came out with this idea of meeting cum surprise birthday thingy... Told Kak Nanie, the President about it and got her help to organize.

Despite her bz werk schedule, we sempat plan... Siap ada theme colour lagikkk - it's Red & Black... She got the cake and i got the balloons yg 3 ketul itewww....

So after the meeting ended.. We took him out... Konon nya nak buat site visit at the banquet hall... But we did! We surveyed the hall... Yipppeeee!!!!!! N now we already got a venue for Dafi's upcoming birthday that will take place in 6 months time (14th December 2010, precisely)...

Then, we went in and it all dark... Surpriseeeeeeeeeeee........... I hope our surprise worked!! They's better be... lol... Apparently, none of us got lighter n had 2 wait 4 the birthday boy to light up the candles sendiri :D

Adoyyyy... seronot gak jadi 'makcik' ropenya... Nak nak lagi bila Neeta jadi my tag team... N got support from yang lain... Menjadik2 lerr... Bak kata Ray, Makcik Esah kampung sebelah pun kalah...

I had fun... Dah lama x LOL macam ni...

The 3.6 Teabreak @ Shook!

Checked out again the 3.6 promotion of Feast Garden, Marriot / Starhill Gallery... Chick here for the post on my first visit at this place.

Last time, we dined in at Fisherman's Cove. This time we felt like checking out Shook! It's one of the famous F&B Outlet in KL. Apparently it's always full. The pic below shows some of the Rich & Famous that dined in Shook and it includes our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The ambiance of this outlet is really cool and cosy. Suitable for chilling and hanging out with friends. Siap ada live performer lagi. Not too sure who the singer is but she's got a good voice and great selection of songs.

It's kinda conceptual kinda outlet. Combines a lil bit of Italian, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. All kitchen has different colour of uniforms.


The cute thing is the salt and pepper container. If most restaurant uses shaker, this one placed those condiments in a segregated container which contains salt, pepper, coarsely chopped black pepper and dried chilli.

Okieee dockey... Lets have a look at the foods...

Fish Tempura with Somen

- the tempura is good as one of the tempura item is salmon yang portion nya agak besar.. so it's worth!!! as for the somen, it's not something that we can tolerate much... too Japanese i guess... but the noodle was ok.. it was just the gravy yg x ok...

Deep fried Seafood fritters with chili dip
- something like our home-made cucur sayur whereby some veges cut n deep fried, dipped in thousand island...

Spaghetti with Seafood Tomato Sauce

- kinda small compared to the plate.. lol...
but it tasted good... the spaghetti is al dente n just have a look at those seafood..
prawns n mussel..

Pepperoni Pizza

- just add another RM3.60 for extra cheese n pepperoni...
Neverheless, the initial amount is sufficient.. crispy crust...

this is authentic oven that is used to bake pizza n such...

Grilled Cumberland Sausage with Mashed Potato & Onion Sauce
- succulent n juicy... I'll drool everytime i tot of it... yummm yummm...
see!!! the sausage ada 'ekor'... hahhaa....

Mixed Omelet with French Fries
- didn't know why we ordered this... as if la, omelet will taste different elsewhere...
Probably for the sake of trying...
had a good texture tho... loved the filling...

Banana Pancake with Maple Syrup & Baskin Robbins Ice Cream

- managed to get a snapshot during the time it was made...
as far as i'm concerned, good pancake batter will result tiny 'holes' during the process of cooking...

Coincidentally, we bumped into Rajan and the geng (Zetty, Emma, and the lovely couple, Leonard n Angela) while they were queuing up to get in to Shook! As a matter of fact they just talking about me... Speak of the devil, huh... no i'm not a devil... lol... He was just saying that i was here the week before and i appeared before their eyes :D

They really saved us a whole of queue time as they we already in queue when we arrived... and belakang sggt panjang :) thanx to Rajan for getting us a seat via his colleague, as he works in Marriot...
