Wedding Dinner at Hj Sharin Low Grand

It was my cousin, Azlina's  wedding.. She is married to Farhan - a half Chinese guy. As for Farhan's side, they had 2 ceremonies. The main reception was held traditionally at Singgahsana Hotel, PJ (malay concept reception) while the other one is more to a dinner for selected close friends and family . Felt honored we were invited.. The theme was authentic Chinese wedding dinner, yet Islamic..

It took place at Farhan's Dad's Restaurant, Hj Sharin Low Grand which is located at Wisma Chinese Chambers, Jalan Ampang...
Got a cute chopstick as doorgift - inserted to a brocade material cover... Somehow reminds me to Megat la...
when Amy meets Amy - here comes the double trouble when both are in Chongsam :)

Encountered prominent individuals, whom we highly respect :
Ustaz Dr. Ridhuan Tee Abdullah...
With Dr Halim - he was one of Gaza the hostages
- he owns Poliklinik Al- Hikmah, at Worldwide, Sec 7 Shah Alam... Do check it out...

Okie... Here comes the 9 course Chinese dinner....

Four Season Starter
- loved the prawn, baby octopus and the crusted one...

the most awaited - Crab Meat Shark's Fin soup
- sharks fin always made me feel good... best taken with vinegar n cili padi...

the part-time waiter - whom help u clear the whole bowl... lol

Chicken ala Thai

Steamed Garoupa
- the flesh were so lembut and flaky.. it does not get smashed easily as Siakap does...

Salted Egg Prawn
- sedappp... lemak but not too masin...

Mushroom Tofu Special with small White Cabbage

- loved the Tofu most

Chinese fried Rice with Anchovies
- most of the guest were too full to consume..

Chinese Pancake with Mini Pau
- the pancake is so crispy and the pau is damn fluffy...
Geram with the tables yang x habis as we didn't have enuff...

Ginseng Sea Coconut
- no doubt that the Ginseng does not taste so good, but the tasty sea coconut makes it balanced.. finished all the Ginseng as we knew that it cost a fortune..

Traditional Tea Session with parents

Yaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Seng!!!

the bride's brother - Joe n his lovely better half - Amy
cool giler la dok dgn dorg ni - for 2 consequence nite... sucha great makan-makan buddy...
cuz, should do this more often la :)

Many happy returns to the bride n groom...
Apparently Leen looks more Chinese than Farhan :)

Awan Izan by Laily's Patisserie

In conjunction with Izan's engagement, i've ordered a set of Cupcakes from Laily's Patisserie... Since they're sucha wonderful friend, i planned to have something special. Since Izan is a Malaysia Airline's stewardess, I ordered something that resembles her to be handed over to the groom's family.

"bergambar sambil pegang kuenya"

I shall call this entry as : Wonders of Cupcake...
Sometimes, little thing can give a tremendously great impact.. Well, it's just a box of cake jer... nothing much tho...

Despite the long n hectic that i had, my beloved cuzzie, Suraya's birthday falls on one of the days that ESQ was held on (ESQ lagi, sorry guys... x help it la)... She was pretty skeptical on attending it on the 3rd day... If x dtg, rosakla plan aku... Siap plan B with another cousin lagi :D

Whatever it is, i proceeded with my plan of ordering her a box of cuppies... via Little Darling Cupcakes la, where else?... i wanted yang ada edible image... but it was a last minute thingy... thank goodness Sally n her supplier accepted my order... n we were crossing my finger, hoping that the cuppies with her face on, sempat siap... Gigih stalk her FB profile pic, to get a nice pic... hehhehe... n straight away emailed it to Sally...

Thx Sally... U saved my day...

That was one thing... Another thing was, how m i to store it as the training only ends after 7 n the cuppies needs proper storage... Thank goodness the staff of SACC Convec were co-operative enuff to store it for us.. siap letak dlm chiller lagikkk... thx u so much...

so Cik SUR, tahulah nko sesungguhnya proses penyerahan b'day kek itew, bukanlah mudah... Tapi hasilnya berbaloi2.... It gave smiles... N more...

What made it sweet was when the cupcakes were distributed not only among our family members... but also to the trainers... Pak Andy, Pak Aminul, Pak Ariff, Dato' Razif (Director, ESQ M'sia), Datin Zaleha (one of the most remarkable Alumni)...

Ya Ampun!! Macam x caya je, they had my cupcakes... I felt so glad n honored... i was oredy away then, guess dah sampai HKL rite to Seremban kot... If i was around, i would cherish that magical moment...

see... everyone is holding the cuppies... bak kata mereka "bergambar sambil pegang kuenya..." (kue refers to Cake in Indonesian)

with my 2 favorite trainer, Pak Aminul Rachman (2nd left) and Pak Andi Mohd Fajar (2nd right)... Immediate left is Pak Arif and immediate right is my beloved uncle, DZB... ye... inilah gambo yang membuatkan lisanku tidak terkata apa-apa... hampir shj aku menjerit di Ijan Burger, Seromban...

"saya pon ambil yang ada gambar ibunya lah..."

Something sweet that happened here was... as Pak Aminul had a piece, he somehow amazed by the edible image on it. Coincidentally, his son will be celebrating his 10th birthday, the following day... Coincidentally (lagi), one of my cousin whom attended the training is capable of producing such cake... (but sorry me jarang order from her due to our distance)

Maka, terjadilah satu transaksi antara Pak Aminul n my cousin... He ordered the whole cake for his son, Abiyan.. Whom had undergone circumcision (berkhatan) on his birthday...

So there we are... sending the specially ordered cake... gigih sangat... Apparently, Pak Aminul wasn't in... We handed it over straight to Abyan yang sangat chumellss... Well, like father, like son, kan... lols...

note :
some may wonder, what's the excitement about all this trainers n all... well, they may not be some high profiled figure or celebrities... but as for us, they are the people whom we highly respect and thankful for the wonderful experience that we undergo... n more... that words could not express but thank to ALLAH, the Almighty...

As for Suraya :
I hope u had one of the best birthday, ever...
Thank for being sucha wonderful cousin... mwahhhsx....

Recharge... Reunite... Rejoice...

It's been such a longggg... yet wonderful weekend... I had good time eventhough i was pretty exhausted... It all happened when 7 of my family members attended ESQ training, recently... Includes Mum n my lil bro... ESQ is as if Family Gathering lak... :)

One good thing about ESQ training is when there is any session, the alumni are welcomed to join along (provided it is of the same level)... It's called RECHARGE for alumni... Quoted from Datin Zaleha, one the most remarkable alumni "bayar sekali tapi boleh recharge banyak kali"... As a matter of fact, we human tends to forget, or taken away after sometimes the training ends... Therefore we need to 'recharge'... At times, our mind are juz like batteries gak... lol

FRIDAY

Since most of my family members were at SACC Convec, my heart longed to be at there badlyyyy... Apparently I can't take leave on that particular Friday... Lotsa events going on n lotsa report to be done... errghhhh.... So i made my way 2 SACC during lunch tyme... dapatlah recharge for around 20 minutes or so... with my favorite trainer, Pak Andi...

Since lunch for alumni were not provided, we made our way to SACC Mall... Asiari precisely... Elly, Aya, Eila n myself... It's an all girl's affair... Sampai ada org merajuxxx... ops! off record..

Well, once in a while, hanging out with cousins are simple so funnn... n cool.... well, we grew up together knn.... n we're pretty close tho... the ties that we have are simply amazing... annual gathering, family book, family song, blog, monthly meeting, etc... ko ada??? well, didn't mean to brag la... but m juz being proud of my beloved Keluarga Al-Bajuri :)

SATURDAY

Thank goodness it was an off Saturday for me, so i can spend some time recharging... Headed straight to Banting for a family meeting after lunch... then we rushed back to SACC back... hhaahaa.... Aya n me treated Banting - Shah Alam just like Subang Jaya - Shah Alam jer... Gigih...

with the new Alumni of the family

guyz of Angkatan 53

during family meeting

SUNDAY
It's Aya's birthday n another crayzee day of mine... Went to SACC for final day recharge... N handed over a box of cuppies for her birthday...

Had another session of lunch at ASIARI.. But this tyme, it's more than juz 4 of us...

Hubs couldn't make it to SACC eventhough he wanted to join, badly... Apparently, he didn't sleep the whole night taking care of his dad... He then fetched me after lunch and we headed straight to IPR of HKL to visit Abah...

After HKL, we headed straight to Stadium Paroi for Rumah Si Kecil's Graduation... Almost didn't make it as i told Ray about it the night before... But things were ok and we managed to make it on time... As we got there, Waty, Syuk, Neeta n Erna dah sampai... Duduk front row lagi....

Took some berangan pics with Mortar Board yang tak muat kepala bak kata Kak Nanie... Sempat amek scroll lagi buat prop... Waiting patiently for the pics from Megat... lallalala...

Since we're alredy in Seromban, tak sahlah idupku kalu x ke Ijan Burger... We terus headed to Rest. Syed Maju and ordered lots n lotsa burger.... En. Ijan's daughter pun one of the graduan of RSK... Apparently Mrs Ijan didn't make it as she was bussy taking care of the stalll... Inilah contoh usahawan yang berjaya...

indahnya burger ini...
moist, soft, tasty...

While i was enjoying my luscious burger, got a call that really made me jealous... yet made me
smile :) Sebaik x jerit dekat ijan burger 2...

MONDAY

Since it was a pretty tiring weekend, I planned to have a rest on Monday... Apparently Aya called during lunch saying that we need to head to Damansara to for a cake delivery to one of the trainer... Ko nk ikut x? Gila aku xnak... Harus lerrr nakkk....

It was a luxuriously beautiful residence... Really amazed... We sent cake over and headed straight to my cuz's place at Ritze Perdana... We had Domino's and sempat la berjimba-jimba gaks, for a while...

The condo is as cute as the tenant...
thanx Muna :)

All in all, i had a really good time with family and friends... Thanks a to everyone that i spend time with during these 4 days... Came to work smiling as i am happy knowing that i'm surrounded by wonderful family n friends...

i do rejoice for everything i am blessed with :)

Alhamdulillah... thank you ALLAH!!!

note : several pics are taken from Aya n Waty's FB...

To Pendang with ♥

Went to Pendang, Kedah, few weeks ago, in conjunction with my cousin's wedding.. Eventhough it's been sometimes, still wanna share...

I found Pendang interesting coz it's sucha nice place to be at... It's a small town located several KM away from Alor Setar... Just about 30 - 45 drive... The town is cute... I shall address it as a Humble City...

Regardless being outskirt, it has few attraction that made me feel that Pendang is special, in it's own way...

surrounded by Paddy Field (almost) all the way

The Accommodation
My uncle booked a cosy place for us to stay at Pendang Lake Resort..

X sangka.. Pendang has a beautiful n huge lake... it's quite a tourist attraction... but sayang, it has no access.. boleh tengok jer... probably got case kot... but for someone who was gonna sleep only a few meters away from the lake, do i need 2 go great length and find out? i doubt it... lol

It's quite a huge area here... It bring the concept of somekind of chalet / simplified hotel room. Memang comfortable. Basic need are there, towel, coffee making facilities, tv with astro, etc.. But there were no water heater... Nevertheless, service memang prompt.

this are the higher ends accommodation

We stayed in this block. Siap ada Dataran lagi... So it's suitable for sukaneka, poco2 n all... There is even a proper surau, meal venue and banquet hall available...

The Delicacies

One of the famous dish that i synonym to northern sate of Malaysia is non other than Laksa... So we took an evening drive around town yg agak chumells itew for a cuppa... So jumpalah this one place located next to Tabung Haji and along the RM2 shop lots... Not sure of the name, but this place is peaceful n clean...

the Laksa

Bihun Sup

Both tasted good - esp. the laksa... not too sure how much it cost as my Uncle (mum's bro) had the bill on him... TQ TQ...

Later in the evening, we had another JJCM session... Unlike Shah Alam & KL, most kedai and stalls dah tutup by 10... Lupa lak... Too contented with my cousins i guess... So we found this street of stalls... It's by the roadside, opposite Petronas (guess there's only 1 Petronas in Pendang)... Near the traffic light, precisely...

this Laksa is good but kurang masam
- had to add few squeezes of lime wedges...

This Fried Kway Teow is sangat sedapppp....

This Nasi Lemak was for breakfast...
It's yellow... with small chunk of Chicken n Ikan Bilis...
only RM 1.30...

Pulut Sambal - only 0.50 sen :)
- the serunding sangat sedappp...

The Ceremony

Moments of giving the final touch for the hantaran

The Solemnization (nikah) ceremony took place at Masjid in Kg. Alor Pudak... About 10 km from the place we stayed in... Sorry to say but we really felt sorry for the Masjid... It's like not been well taken cared off... The size is one thing, but the maintenance is another... Probably fund is a major constrain kot..

The Bride - guess she's better without her make up :)

Congrats dear cuz, Shazwan Salleh @ Wawan & Siti Khadijah :)

ps : pengapit lelaki x bley bla... hehehhe
