Paddy Field at Sunset

Seeing the green spread of paddy field - at the time it was approaching sunset made me feel more than just a beautiful scenery... Being there, made realize that rahmat Allah sememangnya indah... Thus, recalls a line of Snada's Demi Matahari :

"Demi langit berserta seluruh binaannya...
Demi bumi serta yang ada di hamparannya..."

Sawah padi adalah salah satu dari hamparan bumi...
Matahari yang yang indah adalah salah satu dari binaan langit...

Having both at the same time is a miracle...

Allah... Subhanallah...


grateful for DFC's Lebaran Desa for giving me sucha wonderful experience...

Iftar at Bukit Kuching

My previous post, Rombongan Cik Sally ke 'Meow2 Hill' is referred.

As for berbuka puasa, we were invited by En. Azmi, a successful businessman in Bukit Kucing. At first, we thought it was gonna be a normal berbuka at his house... Rupanya, it was in conjunction with Iftar with Anak-anak Yatim & Warga Emas / Ibu Tunggal. Dafi was requested to menyampaikan hadiah... Wahh!! Dah macam YB la plaks... Well, nama pun 'YB junior' kan :)



According to Waty, En. Azmi often organized event macam ni at his house. Patutla rezeki dia murah.. Rumah pun besau... Siap ada surau & gym lagi...

So, he invited DFC along. Siap khemah bagai ok... Felt honored sggt... We were seated at the VIP table.. ceh... VIP la sgt... There were 2 main table. The rest are 2 long tables... 1 male... 1 female with buffet serving...

There was a set dome on our table. Sementara nak tunggu waktu berbuka, we were like so curious to know what's inside... N bila azan jer... Tanpa segan2, terus je bukak... Tarrrraaaaaaa.....

There were samabal tumis udang... Ayam Goreng berempah... Daging kari.. Mixed vege... Fruits n jelly... The foods seemed simple... tapi so sedap.... i ate my heart out... probably lapar kot...

Besides the foods in the dome, the were other kuih served...

Kuih Seri muka... According to Kak Nanie, it looked the same tapi rasa x sama...

This is kuih puteri ayu, if m not mistaken... I heard it's sedap... Nyesal lak x rasa...

And this is like the best Kuih Kaswi i've ever tasted... Sangat lembut n sedap... Rasa macam nak mintak tapau jer.. coz mum loves it so much.. Tapi sangat segan... Dah lah jemputan... Nt buat malu nama FC jer... Sampai now still terngiang-ngiang lagi kesedapannnya... yummmm yummm...

2 Great Iftars - Pre & Post Event

Pre event Iftar

2 Days before heading to Bukit Kucing, Jeram for DFC's charity event, we had a little meet up session at Kak Nani's house. Basically the purpose for this rendezvous is to have our final discussion to ensure that everything runs smoothly, to segregate all the stuff and of course... berbuka beramai-ramai...

Kak Nani actually took a day off for this matter... Gosh! Gigih betul Pn. President sorang ni... Siap masak macam-macam for all of us... Tq kak... Semoga Allah murahkan rezeki akak sekeluarga... aminnn...

there were a huge numbers of clothes to be segregated and pack...

Post event Iftar

This was held at Ray's & Megat's residence... Initially, they invited all whom got involved with the trip to Bukit Kucing, and others as well. Apparently, most ada plan and our Cik Waty had some task to be done... So tinggal la berapa kerat jer... Huhuhu... Rugi x join uols...

this was brought by anak-anak bujang, Capeq & Shuk...

This is killer item, Spaghetti ala Megat with lotsa prawns and lala...
speghetti pun al-dente... yummy...

It's time for charity.....
(not to brag, juz 2 share)

After proper planning, hard work, effort and thorough preparation done, its time for us to hand over the collections (ie. cash and other stuff) to the selected families. So here we are, heading to Bukit Kucing, Jeram Selangor to accomplish our mission...

M not gonna say much about this event as official posting will be published via DFC's Official Website... Just to share few pics on the wonderful moment we were there...

Syuk, Kak Nani & Waty is the major strength of this event...
Couldn't have done it without them... as well as other team members...

Alhamdulillah... as we can see, the response was overwhelming. This was like 1 set of goodies to be handed over to them. The core item was cash n beras. Besides those, there are also hampers, foodstuff, baju2, toys and lots more...

With the first family... She is a single mother...

I lyke this Makcik... She was being extra friendly and sggt byk cakap..

All in all... It was a long yet happy day... Not just happy because of the charity thingy... But happy as we managed to make other people happy...

Ray's Birthday Surprise :)

Ray's birthday was approaching and we planned a surprise lil celebration 4 him...

The VIDs were supposed to have a monthly meeting... This time it took place at International Youth Centre, Bandar Tun Razak... Since it was only 2 days before his birthday... I came out with this idea of meeting cum surprise birthday thingy... Told Kak Nanie, the President about it and got her help to organize.

Despite her bz werk schedule, we sempat plan... Siap ada theme colour lagikkk - it's Red & Black... She got the cake and i got the balloons yg 3 ketul itewww....

So after the meeting ended.. We took him out... Konon nya nak buat site visit at the banquet hall... But we did! We surveyed the hall... Yipppeeee!!!!!! N now we already got a venue for Dafi's upcoming birthday that will take place in 6 months time (14th December 2010, precisely)...

Then, we went in and it all dark... Surpriseeeeeeeeeeee........... I hope our surprise worked!! They's better be... lol... Apparently, none of us got lighter n had 2 wait 4 the birthday boy to light up the candles sendiri :D

With DFC family.... Thanx to all for making this worked... Esp Kak Nanie... It was a lovely evening at IYC... We had talked n talked n laughed our hearts out... Adoyyyy... seronot gak jadi 'makcik' ropenya... Nak nak lagi bila Neeta jadi my tag team... N got support from yang lain... Menjadik2 lerr... Bak kata Ray, Makcik Esah kampung sebelah pun kalah...

I had fun... Dah lama x LOL macam ni...

ps: the cake sedap... n x sangka the balloons akan jadi rebutan...

Well... Obviously ini bukan cobaan... Ini betul betul!!!

Went for a teabreak rendezvous at JW Marriot / Starhill's Feast Garden... At first, I was really skeptical as it was in the middle of the month... Nak makan hotel 5 star??? (please pronounce 5 star ikut cara Chef Roze of Hotel Mania... Gosh! sggt geds la dat fella... but best) I was told that the price was unbelievable... Biar betik si Ajen ni...

Apparently, they are having this promotion known as 'The 3.6 teabreak' whereby food and beverages are sold for only RM 3.60++/dish. The participating outlets are Shook! (tp bukan Getah), Luk Yu Teahouse, Pak Loh Chiu Chow Restaurant (adik beradik Pak Li) and Fisherman's Cove (not related to Fisherman's friend)...

We dined in at Fisherman's Cove... Basically it brings the fisherman and sea concept ambiance and food... I love the bamboo and net decoration... It's really authentic... On the other hand, this place was visited by Jalan-jalan Cari Makan...

Lets have a look at what we had that day... The portion was not too big... But if one is not satisfied, they may always order one or two or moreeee... Furthermore, it's definitely affordable... So y not... Guess that's the whole point...

Fish Finger with Tartar Sauce
- Megat n Fara kata it's really fishy... Of coz la, it's fish!!! I don't know what fish they used, but definitely not dory yang murah itewww... The fish and salad sangat fresh, n juicy...
A personal recommendation for fish lover...

Deep fried Sliced Seabass (Siakap) with Thai Chilli Sauce
another good one I had - Another recommendation for fish lover...

Deep Fried Calamari with Garlic Mayonnaise
- tasted good and too heavy...
Just imagine Fara yang chumell had 2 of these...

Carbonara Pasta with Sauteed Button Mushroom
- the texture of pasta is 'al dente' (perfect term for a well cooked pasta) and the gravy is not too much... Just nice n x muak...

Potato and Leek Cream Soup with Buttered Crouton

Grilled Chicken Percik with Kyuri & Onion Skewer
- tender chicken meat... tasted good...

Pasta with Seasonal Vegetable and light Tomato Sauce...
(didn't know vege got season... lol)

Traditional Ice Kacang...
- What a large portion... But of coz, section 2 is much better...
Nevertheless, this is exclusive...

Cranberry Mojito
- Cranberry & Lime Juice, Mint Syrup
- x take this if u x tolerate mint.. I had to squeeze the lime to reduce the minty taste

Blue Hawaiian & Strawberry Tea - Strawberry Puree & Fresh Tea
(a must try for strawberry lover)

Had this wonderful dining experience in conjunction with DFC's 1st meeting of the new team. Wow! Kelllasssssssss tempat meeting... We ol dulu at AnW jer... lol... But it's a good thing... Meeting cum makan-makan session...

Whatever it is, I'd like to thank Rajan for introducing this place... next time i'll try Shook that brings Italian, Japanese & Chinese Cuisine... As per Rajan...
